Labrador Retriever / German Shepherd Dog / Mixed (medium coat) Dog

Glenda (Glenny) the Dog needs a home

MYM Designation: Couch Potato

**Be sure to watch all of Glenny's video's below so you can see what a lovely character she is & how well she get's along with all her foster siblings!**

Glenny is an X-large, adult German Sheperd
/Lab. I know when you saw Glenda’s photo you said to yourself "What a beautiful dog!" and you would be right. Her photos don't even do her justice. She's so pretty & a real doll. Sweet, lovable & very playful. Being young --
she being taught by a professional dog trainer to have good manners & taking her thru the basics commands. Glenny's very favorite thing to do is take a nice walk with her backpack & she walks beautifully on a leash. She will require someone who has experience at basic dog training to keep up with her training.

As her foster Mom, I really enjoy watching my rescued dogs “learn” how to play. She came from a very poor rural area of KY where dogs are left outside chained up to dog houses  (if they are lucky enough to HAVE a dog house!) their whole lives. They never have a normal puppyhood so if they are fortunate enough to be rescued, they even have to learn to hugged, petted, told how they are SO pretty, fed regularly & water available whenever they need it & plenty of treats & toys – well there is a real joy that you can see in their eyes. They have to learn how to play with dogs & even toys & Glenny has excelled at both. She loves everyone humans & other dogs. She's a large girl who could lose about 10 lbs!

So if you are looking for a young former Kentucky Woman, who seems to be part yellow Lab, Shepherd & with a dash of Hound (she has a very odd deep baritone bark for such a small girl) who wants nothing more than to be a part of your family --- you should consider adopting her. Be sure to read our adoption requirements firs t & if you can meet or exceed them you can apply at our website. A 4-foot high fence would be acceptable for Glenda.

A minimum 4-foot high fence is always mandatory – there are no exceptions to a physical fence & we do not accept any type of electric fence.

Every LnF dog lives in a foster home & have been thoroughly temperament tested to guarantee a sound disposition,  loves people & is fine with other dogs. Each has been evaluated by the *ASPCA Meet Your Match Program.* Our goal is to help you adopt a dog not just by a photo -- but one that fits your lifestyle.
